Price VS Value

Let me start this off by saying price and value are two completely different things. Price isn’t determined by value, it’s determined by the intersection of supply and demand. Value plays into that, by determining what the demand part is. Value is perceived benefits received over perceived price paid.

When shopping for new carpet, keep in mind that buying the cheap stuff will usually (not always) end up with cheap quality products. In other words, you get what you paid for. Value however, can be better quality product price well below it’s worth. Value could be set at any price point.

Shopping solely on price may cause the buyer to overlook other traits that add value to a product in terms of service, location or comfort. Value is a much more complete word whilst price is simply a component of value.
